Forest Health for Silviculture Surveyors - 1 Day
This 1 day course is intended for forest practitioners who would like to review significant damaging agents in the B.C. Interior. It would also be beneficial for those preparing for the Silviculture Survey Accreditation Exam. Participants will improve their forest health identification skills by looking at slides and samples in the classroom, and specimens in the field. Forest Health Damage Criteria for Silviculture Surveys will be provided, reviewed, and used in the field. Field exercises will include forest health identification and survey procedures pertaining to forest health. Classroom exercises will include summary calculations and emphasize the consideration of forest health concerns in Silviculture Survey recommendations.
